Hard Chrome Planting

We at VEERCOAT experience of more than 14 years of working knowledge of operating of hard chrome plating plant.

Hard chrome plating is an electrolytic process used to deposit a layer of chromium onto a substrate from a chromic acid solution. This method is widely applied in various engineering sectors, especially for components that require enhanced durability, wear resistance, and corrosion protection.

The chrome plating process is carried out in specialized baths using custom-tailored chemical solutions. The thickness of the chrome deposit can range from 0.25 to 1,000 microns, allowing it to be used in a broad spectrum of applications. Thinner deposits (0.25–50 microns) are typically applied to improve the longevity of components in wear-prone or corrosive environments, while thicker deposits (50–1,000 microns) are commonly used for salvaging and repairing worn, damaged, or mis-machined components.
